• I hired someone to build my website and so many things went wrong..on my home page https://www.tasteofkansascityfoodtours.com next to my slider I have a button that says ‘ Learn About the Tour’ but it overlaps into the white space. When I try and fix this through my wordpress admin, I can’t even find the image he used for this.

Second, on my homepage under the What is IT? tab when I click on the read more button it comes up with my sliders. When I try to manage it under that page what I have is something totally different. I don’t understand what is going on. Can someone help me?

  • I can only suggest that you back to whoever developed this site for you. For a start, they have modified the Twenty Eleven theme which you should never, EVER, do. It is the default WordPress theme and having access to an unedited version of the theme is vital when dealing with a range of site issues. They should have created a child theme for your changes or a completely new standalone theme.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with the person you hired to build your website.

There is not much that can be done to fix the button overlapping issue because all the background images used are a fixed size. If you reduce the text by about a paragraph the button will move up and come into place.

If you need the extra space new background images will need to be created that allow for more room. You can use https://jobs.wordpress.net/ to hire someone who can help.

I don’t know whats the problem with my blog layout. My whole blog layout got distorted and expanded vertically. All images are here and there.
It all started when I saw that the new posts which I am posting were not updating and not being displayed in the categories and so I thought it may be some problem with cache and tried deleting cache using “W3 Total Cache”. Now new post are there but blog layout is distorted completely.

    My Blog’s link is : https://www.greedynet.com

    Please help me…

@ajeetmish: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own and it causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers. Please post your own topic.
