Hi everyone,

I use Yoast SEO and have a WordPress page that was published on September 27 and since then it hasn’t been indexed by Google. I’ve looked at the options of the plugin and the page seems to be correctly set up from an SEO standpoint. In addition, many weeks ago I manually requested indexing using the Google Search Console but it hasn’t changed anything.

When looking at the page in the Google console, I have the following message:

URL is not on Google
This page is not in the index, but not because of an error. See the details below to learn why it wasn’t indexed. Learn more
Coverage
Discovered – currently not indexed

Am I missing something here? Does it normally take that much time? All the other pages of my websites seem to be indexed properly.

unfortunately google have disabled us from requesting indexing for a while
this applies to everyone, not just you, not just me

google announced this publicly in September
no new websites are going to appear on google, and no new web PAGES on existing sites are going to be indexed until googles spiders just randomly crawl them, OR until google re-enables indexing requests

some people “believe” that google did this because of the election, because they didn’t want some websites about biden to be made

not sure how true that theory is

It makes sense regarding the “request indexing” button being disabled, but even naturally, shouldn’t the page be already indexed by now? I would expect the crawl to take less time than 1 month and a half (I dont remember it taking so long when I launched the website initially)

@nickpetersres Yes, we would have expected Google to have already crawled the page in question by now. On average, Google will automatically re-crawl a site every 48-72 hours, but this can vary depending on other factors.

We reviewed the page https://realestatespreadsheets.com/real-estate-resources/ and confirmed that the robots meta tag is set to allow indexing (see image here), and we weren’t able to find any other issues either with your site’s robots.txt file that would prevent the page from being indexed. In addition, we did find the URL included in your page sitemap at https://realestatespreadsheets.com/page-sitemap.xml.

As we don’t see any issues that would cause the page to not be crawled and indexed, we’d next recommend reaching out to Google for more information. You can reach Google Search Console’s support at the following link: https://support.google.com/webmasters/?hl=en#topic=9002753
