Page management plugin?

It seems that wordpress really hates me now that I have posted over 200 pages (not posts). But why does it have to show every page there is? Why can’t it just be good and show the latest 15 or so like blog posts?
Is there a page management plugin to help with this or am I going to have to convert all these pages to blog posts just so wordpress can handle it?
