Page load times and not working on mobile devices

Just installed the free version to give it a try, works great on my desktop, but strangely it appears to quite dramatically slow up the loading time of the pages. I tested on a page that has a lot of comments, over 1000, and the page normally loads in about seven seconds for me, but with the plug-in activated it takes about 12 or 13 seconds, you can literally see it stall for those last 5 or 6 seconds during which time you cannot scroll or anything.
Is it possible your plug-in is doing something to cause this delay?
My second question is it does not appear in either iPhone or Galaxy S5 devices, comments display as normal, is it compatible with mobile devices?
Update: well, I think I found the answer to the second question, I need to upgrade to the pro version of WP Touch for it to work with my plug-ins, so I assume once I’ve done that it will work okay. Do you know for sure that it will?
