    Hi there,

    Question before I install.

    1. Do the pdf’s need to be optimized for web viewing or will it make use of original print quality files?

I’m using it for this page, which is currently super slow because of the number of short codes (I assume) or because the embedded pdf’s from dropbox are not optimized.

    2. Will I be able to use your plugin to solve this issue.

    3. Is there a limit to the number of pdf’s I can use on one page and still maintain speedy viewing?

    Thanks!

  • Thank you for your post.

The plugin should be able to display any type of PDF (print or web) but it will just come down to appearance or speed of display if you prefer one over the other.

There are far too many PDFs displayed on that page – and all of them are rendered as soon as the page loads (even if they are hidden inside tabs). I think the only sensible solution is to find a way to split the actual document embeds across multiple pages, or ask your web developer to find a way to ensure the PDFs are only rendered when the relevant tabs are opened, and not immediately on page load.

To be honest, this advice will apply to whichever plugin you might use to display the documents (unless it has its own way to delay rendering until visible, say).

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, please email [email protected] – I may not pick up replies here.

    Thanks,

    Dan
