Page load performance problems?

  • The portfolio thumbnail images inserted into the page are using the full-res image, not a thumbnail sized image. This makes the page slow to load for large numbers of hi-res images.

    I don’t want to downres the portfolio images too much, because I want good detail showing when the user clicks and sees the image in the lightbox.

    How can I make the thumbnail image be reduced-resolution but the full size lightbox image still have full detail?
