Page Links To plugin dynamic highlighting problem

Hey guys,
I’ve been looking around the forums/web for an answer to this and can’t seem to find it. I recently installed page_links_to plugin. I am using it to make some nav buttons that when clicked will link to a specific category layout. The plugin claims that even if you have it set up to do that, it will still apply the “current_page_item” class to the link… doesnt seem to be doing it for me?

Anyone run in to this problem or have a fix they can point me to?
