Page Links Not Working

  • I have migrated my site to a new server. I upgraded to the latest WP and I updated my permalinks in the settings.

    The problem I’m seeing is that navigation to pages other than the home page fails with 404. I can create a new page and the navigation will always fail as well as existing pages. This smells like a rewrite / permalinks issue, but I’m unsure how to solve this issue.

  • It’s possible your URLs need to be rewritten.

    If so, you could use the better-search-replace plugin

    i just did a clean install of WP onto my server. it fails right out of the box. a fresh/new install doesn’t work.

    i followed the install direction below. i’ve done many, many times in the past and never seen issues like this. is this something new with WP?

    i just setup a virtual machine with a new LAMP & WP install. this install works. not sure if the problem lies with WP or Apache. I compared setting & conf values and everything seems to be the same. Obviously it isn’t but I’m not sure what the cause is.
