Page links not getting resolved nor able to edit

  • I have WP site and in every page I have a link under the CONTACT word. Since the last couple of days I noticed (I do not know when it started happening) these links are not working. The link value is like
    [ <?php echo get_permalink(’28’); ?> ] (all within the square brackets). Looks like the function get_permalink () is not getting resolved and providing the link values. Any idea what could be happening?

    Also, another question is when I login to wp-admin and go to pages and select any of the pages and choose edit, in the edit box if I hi-lite the word CONTACT and choose Insert->Insert/Edit link, nothing is happening. Any permission issue here?.

    Appreciate any insights. I am relatively new to WP.
