• Hi there – I’m working on a website for a non-profit, address is https://2010.hth.org. Many pages have been built, but just today I found that all the page links no longer function. What I mean is, when you first load the site the static front page does not load (404 error), and other links in the header take you to what appears to be some version of the blogroll in lieu of their intended destination. I looked on the phpMyAdmin and found that all the pages still exist in the database, but simply cannot be access by whatever query format is going on. Could this be a permalink issue?

Please let me know what other information would be helpful to answer my question – thanks in advance!

  • I just took a look at the site.

What’s got me confused is that the site’s URL is 2010.hth.org, but all pages except the main page have a URL beginning with hth.org/2010.

The url is just a sub-directory re-route specified in the DNS settings. It’s easier for folks to remember 2010.hth.org than hth.org/2010. Just aesthetic.

The access problem might be related to your “sub-directory reroute.”

Appreciate the comments – but the re-route has been in place since the site was created months back, and only just yesterday did the links start acting up. It’s a pretty come thing to use CNAME and DNS settings to reroute.

I have a similar problem in that, for example, when I attempt to upload an image, I get the server not found error message after clicking (submit, upload, whatever).

When I look at the URL address, I can see that the problem is that WordPress is sending the link but without the leading part of the address (https://www.cmtfp.org/…) It starts the URL with the blog directory. I’ve looked into the files to try and correct this without success.

This happened immediately after install. I’d hoped that the recent update corrected the problem, but it didn’t.
