page Link not found 404 error

  • Permalink issue?????

    saw this post 16months old?
    Elementor does not allow edit when using /category%/%postname%/ | www.remarpro.com

    I am using Elementor today 14 March 2023 on my son’s website llwyd.com

    when use hostname for pages suchs as llwyd.com/about get an error 404

    but if go back to the basic permalinks – for the about page llwyd.com/about will be https://llwyd.com/?page_id=5

    would like to use post name ie.e. llwyd.com/about as it looks better and is more “human” ??

    I have just updated to the latest Elementor v3.11.4

    can this be resolved as noted on that older post of 1 year 4 mnths dont think it has. and very surprised as the number who have installed and use Elemntor!!

    still broken – any resolution please – cant believe i am alone with this issue?

    First test the plugin/theme compatibility.

    To rule out the possibility of a plugin or theme conflict, please deactivate all your plugins (besides Elementor and Elementor Pro) and see if it helps. If it solves the issue, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

    Usually, if the page works with plain permalinks but not with the post name, the issue can be related to .htaccess file. You can contact the hosting provider support to check the .htacess file and permissions to see if that is causing the issue.

    disbale all plugins except elementor and changed theme to the only other theme i have 2023 – and still broken. Also still broken reverting back to Astra Theme 9 https://wpastra.com/about/?utm_source=theme_preview&utm_medium=author_link&utm_campaign=astra_theme)

    /htaccess permissions are fine 0644

    links now fix reverting back to Astra Theme

    but are the unfriendly

    instead of /about

    You can try to change the theme also, but please note permalink is a WordPress feature, and the you should contact their support. You could try to recreate .htacces your host support can do this instead of you
