I’m not sure what the name for this feature is, so I’ve taken a screenshot from a dashboard where it appears and a dashboard where it is missing and put them side by side: https://pasteboard.co/J86nhMa.jpg

Basically on one install, I can click through and view daily, monthly, annual total views for a particular blog post. On the other install, running the same version of WordPress & jetpack on the same host but different domain, the dashboard doesn’t offer these links.

I’ve hunted through settings and documentation and am stumped. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any constructive comments.

    Hi there!

Could you please let us know the URL of the site where this happens? We will have a look.
This may be a plugin or theme conflict so you can already try disabling all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

To make it easier, you can install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Thanks for that tip! Unfortunately, the page-level-stats are still missing when I install healthcheck, turn on troubleshooting mode, and activate jetpack as the only plugin.

    The site is hawk-hill.com

    Any assistance appreciated, thanks!

    Hi –

Jetpack is not installed on that site. Can you install it so we can check some debugging on our end? Write back once that’s been done. Thanks!

Interesting. Jetpack is installed and you may confirm so with this screenshot: https://imgur.com/EjkcR2a Perhaps whatever problem is causing the missing page-stats is connected to the appearance of jetpack not being installed. Any guesses?

No worries, the Jetpack connection works just as expected. I noticed that you have installed Site Kit by Google (on the live site, not using Health check plugin), could you try to disable that one and see if the issue goes away?
This plugin used to conflict with our Stats module, I wonder if it’s still not working well together.

Site kit is a new install (this week) but the Jetpack problem described has been present for a very long time- honestly, I noticed this issue probably a year ago and assumed Jetpack updates were at play.

I have just double-checked and confirmed, the page-level stats do not appear when in health check mode with only jetpack activiated, and do not appear when the site is in live mode with site kit disabled.

Thanks for checking on all of that. We also need to rule out the theme as a conflict.

Try using a default WordPress theme

Yes, I can confirm theme is not the issue. 1. Page-level-stats are still missing when I use healthcheck in troubleshooting mode (which uses a default theme.) and 2. I have three sites which are running identical themes/plugin configurations on the same host as this one, and only this site is missing page level stats.

    Any ideas?

Update: I discovered this week that the link is still present, but it’s literally invisible. I can locate it only by rolling my mouse very slowly over the area where the link should appear, until my cursor switches to indicate the presence of a link.

Is the stat symbol that should be there colored by a css setting that may be getting overwritten? An image that’s missing?

I’ve added my update to the forum, in case it would be helpful for other users experiencing a similar problem.

Hi, we can’t really help further with this here. Have you already reached out to our support team? If so, they’ll get back to you.
