I am using Divi to create my webpages. When I add the shortcode to my divi layout (in a text module – [kbe_knowledgebase]) and save the draft, the edit screen is way out of whack. It actually displays the front-end knowledgebase page and then on scrolling I see my WP tools, sidebar and my Divi layout row. Very strange. Is there a file with WP Knowledgebase that would be able to be edited to fix this?

Meanwhile, on the front end my first row displays way down at the bottom under my footer.

    Here is the page: https://dev.brightmillgroup.com/test-kb/

I would like to be able to add text above the knowledge base. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

WP Knowledgebase is quite a complex custom post type with a series of templates of it’s own. I don’t think it would work at all well when embedded in a page builder element like the one you’re describing because the theme will be trying to display it inside a bunch of other complex things. Predictably, it would break.

I would strongly suggest to use a standard page for the page with the shortcode without any page builder elements. You can disable it for a specific page right?

For adding text above the knowledgebase… You’ll want to add that in the template itself, or call it from the template. But you can’t place it directly into the page builder / editor. Again, it’s just too complex a plugin for that method to work, sorry.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand. I’ll fiddle with the template. (A copy of the template! ??
