Under Posts -> Add New I went to Screen Options, selected “Number of Columns: 1” then decided I didn’t like it. Going back to dual columns didn’t restore the page to the correct layout however. The central column did narrow to allow the right column to return, but the right column is empty, and the modules that lived there before are still rendering beneath the central text entry field.

Maybe this has something to do with the specific modules I have turned on? Just in case: WordTwit Management, Categories, Post Tags, Featured Image, Author

I believe you have to manually drag the modules back over. It doesn’t store what you had before switching to one column.

Yes, that works. Funny, I’d never have thought to do that myself. Still a bit disconcerting (especially after the promise that this new release would make that page easier).

    Thanks!

    Hey, that came very helpful.
This action should be explained better in the UI, but thanks for solving it for me too : )
