    Hello
    I really like the Ditty News Ticker but find that with the plugin activated it makes my page jump slightly on initial scroll. So, cursor on the scroll bar, scroll down and the page gives a little jump. With the plugin deactivated it doesn’t happen.
    Hope you can help.

    Just discovered that this problem only occurs using Google Chrome. It doesn’t happen with Edge or Firefox.

    Sorry for the delay on my response. I did check out your site a couple days ago and I was going to suggest to test the fixed menu settings. It looks like you have removed the fixed menu which has resolved the jumping, but I’m guessing you’d rather have the fixed menu back?

    What were you using to create the fixed menu?

    Viewing your site through the developer tools, there seems to be a few different negative vertical margins on different sections. I’m not sure if that may be something that would affect the fixed element scripts calculations or not… Granted I know it was only happening with the ticker running.

    Thanks for getting back to me.
    Yes, I would prefer to have the fixed menu. I have reinstated it.
    I use the SiteOrigin Vantage theme and the option to select a ‘sticky’ menu is available under Appearance/Customise/Theme Settings/Navigation
    I experimented by removing the negative vertical margins but that didn’t make any difference.

    Thanks.

    I’m not sure why this is happening only when the ticker is present, but you should be able to resolve this by adding the following custom css:

    .sticky-menu #masthead {
      height: 52px;
    }

    The theme adds this 52px as a padding, but it doesn’t seem to work as expected. Setting the height of the menu does seem to work, though.

    Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you. That fixed the problem.
    Although my websites are non profit I feel you deserve something for your excellent support so I am going to make a modest donation,
    Thanks again.

    Hello,

    I am having a similar problem. The page jumps on initial load. The solution you provided does not help because my news ticker element is below the sticky header. The problem is the ticker loads lastly after everything loads. That creates the jumping effect. You can check the website. I hope you can help me.
