Page Jumps

Hi, from what I see you have the hyperlink set to https://lakesidehistory.org/lakesiders/#Foster when it should be set to https://lakesidehistory.org/lakesiders#Foster without the /. If you remove the dash it should work.

Nope, did not work. I had tried it that way following the W3 html tutor, then went to WordPress Documentation. I have double checked the page I want it to go to: https://lakesidehistory.org/lakesiders My bookmark is set at the H2 tag for the Fosters. is it or ? I have tried both ways.

The W3 html has it <h2 id=” “></h2> Using it that way did not work either.

I am clueless. I was trying to avoid setting up individual pages. But….

Hi, I’m very sorry for my last message. You need to change your anchor point to “Foster” without the #. Currently, you have a # which is redundant (https://lakesidehistory.org/lakesiders/##Foster is what happens when you have a #).

Made the changes, not working.

Now I get page not found. So will take a different tact. Wasting tooooo much time I do not get paid for trying to make this work.

Nothing is working. When I put the link on the first page to the second, I get the entire page. I want it to go to the person on that page.

So, since this is not working. I quite. I will have to create a specific page for that person to get this right.

When someone makes a plugin or has a different solution, please let me know, because this is not it.

Hi, it seems now that you’ve made changes to your site. I no longer see the name attribute in your site source code. What you had before was right just you had an extra #.

Hi, I tried the suggestions given. The problem I kept running into is when I saved the page, I would go back into it and find the links changed. WP keeps adjusting them, putting the extra # and the slash / into the link. I do not know how to stop that from happening so I deleted it.

I would like to know how to fix it. I like the idea of jumping to a section on another page.

If there are any suggestions please.
