    Hello,

I am having a 404 in sitemap. Specifically this one:
    https://www.mimetis.com/nuestras-noticias/

I can’t find a way to remove it. So far, based on own experience and different topics,

    – I deactivated Yoast XML sitemap, cleared cache (WP and server side), waited 5 min and reactivated. No success.
    – All plugins are up to date, including WordPress, and yoast.
    – The website had the exact same setup as another one I manage, suggesting no plugin incompatibilities.
    – The website is multilingual, using WPML. The page listed in the sitemap, leading to 404, is a Spanish page that should be found in the /es/ subfolder.
    – I cleared the trash of the page list.

    – I tried creating this page with the exact same slug (thus in English, default language), refresh the sitemap (disable, clear cache, enable) and then remove it, and refresh again. No success.

    – Yoast generates the sitemap on the fly, so I cannot edit it. Also, I cannot unlist the page as it doesn’t exist.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance,

@davidpastorino We reviewed the sitemap headers for https://www.mimetis.com/page-sitemap.xml and it does appear to be cached. The caching is likely being performed either by your server, or by a plugin/theme on your site.

We would recommend reviewing the following article for instructions on how to exclude the sitemap from the most common caching plugins: https://yoast.com/help/exclude-sitemaps-from-cache/

If you still find that the URL is not removed from the sitemap after implementing the instructions there, we would next recommend checking with your hosting provider to check whether the caching is being performed at the server level.

?Can you please try the aforementioned suggestions and let us know whether this resolves your issue?

@davidpastorino I’ve the exact problem that you’re facing.
    Clearing cache didn’t help either.

Pls let me know if you’ve found a solution.

    Regards.

    Hi @davidpastorino,

Thank you for replying, however, please create a separate topic where you explain what you experience, your link to the site and the page in question so we can troubleshoot too. Please let us know in your topic too if you have followed the suggestions from Carl above. Thanks!
