One of the menu items on my site goes to the homepage, even though it is added to the Menu to go to a different page. I have tried adding it to the menu as a page and as a custom link, but the same thing happens. Other links to the same page (outside the nav menu) go to the correct destination.

I have tried re-saving my permalinks but that didn’t fix it. Any other ideas?

Here’s the site: https://westsidecia.org/. See the menu item for the Become a Volunteer page. I’m stumped!

You also need to upgrade to 4.0.1 asap.

Thanks but this has nothing to do with creating a static homepage, which the site already has. The problem is that an item in my nav menu goes to the wrong link.

I have updated to 4.0.1 and the problem persists.

Actually it has everything to do with a static page if you didn’t create it following the codex.

If this page https://westsidecia.org/become-a-volunteer/ is correct in the menu section, as you said, try
-deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

The update was a security update so it wouldn’t have any effect on your problem.
