Page Hierarchy Access Control

Is it possible to protect child pages of a parent page? If I set page A as parents of page B and page C while setting access to a specific group on page A, would page B and C also be protected? Because let’s say there are 50 pages and all of them are children pages of one parent page then having the children pages protected by just protecting the parent page is a lot faster than going through every single page. If there isn’t a way to do this already what would I have to modify to implement this functionality?
