Page Header and Description won't take my input -categories interfere

  • I have a blog page on my website that I would like to call “CrossFit Devotion Blog” with the page description, “Find out what’s happening every day” When I set up the blog page, this works fine, but as soon as I add the categories “WOD blog” and “Kids Blog” to the menu as dropdown items under “Our Blogs”, the title and page description go back to what was in the sample when I downloaded my theme. I have completely trashed and rebuilt the page, and I have trashed and remade the categories all to no avail.
