• Hi all,

just had a thought, wont my pages look to search engines like they have no content despite having text content. Reason I ask is my main pages when viewed in the admin they have no content as I presume its pulled from somewhere else.

In admin when i click to edit page it shows no content in the text section and Yoast says only 31 words are on the page when there is over 500 words on the page if you view it. I presume the content is being pulled from somewhere else which means Google spiders wont look favourably on my site as it looks like theres no content.

    Thanks

The search engines view your pages as presented to a non-logged in viewer, not what an admin sees on the back end.

You can see what Google sees using “view page as Google” when you’re in Google Webmaster Tools.

    See https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en

Sounds like something is wrong. It could possibly be a caching issue, but try editing a post…there will be two tabs, text and visual. Click on text to see if you can see anything. Sometimes the visual or custom editor included in themes can “break”.

    What theme are you using?
