Page Hanging on User Registration

    Hi,

    We have a site set up to allow users to register for upcoming classes. The registration page requires a few details and then informs us that someone has registered.

    When a user attempts to register, the page gets stuck after filling in their details. The info is saved to the backend and we can see their details and that they have registered, but for the user, the page just sits on a loading circle.

    We are using the Lite version of the plugin and its version 2.8.

    I have added a link to one of the event registration pages so you can see what I mean. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Sorry for any issue here!

    I just tested a registration and replicated the problem. It looks like there is a PHP error occurring at some point during the registration process. Since you mentioned that the information saves in the database successfully, I’m wondering if there is some sort of error with the sending of email.

    Are you using any kind of email SMTP plugin? If not, it might be worth adding a plugin and service to handle email to see if it helps. We have an FAQ here:

    You could also use a plugin like Query Monitor to see if more details about the error can be determined.

    Otherwise, can you contact me on our website and include your “System Info” so I can see if I can spot any issue as well!

    Hi Craig,

    We are using WP Mail SMTP plugin.

    When we turn off the confirmation email, the page successfully adds the user and doesn’t hang, but if we want to send the email, then the page hangs.

    The strange thing is that this used to work just fine and now suddenly stopped working correctly.

    I am also sending a message on your website with the system info.
