• Hello, thank you for reading and I appreciate your time.

I have a question regarding the shaan template I am having trouble with the page formatting using the editor. I’ve tried numerous editors but for this particular page I am simply using html and posting it in to the page itself.

In the admin area and the html, it looks correct and as it should. However, once publishing it looks like the following link:

    https://www.shilohreformedchurch.com/shilohexample.jpg

And a screen shot of the admin area where it looks correct:
    https://www.shilohreformedchurch.com/shilohadmin.jpg

I would post the web page itself, but it isnt open yet and I have maintenance mode plugin up until I can get this fixed, then I will open it.

It appears as if there is something in the template code that formats this area on its own and is over riding the formatting I put in the pages?????

Thanks for your time and any help you can provide. As a last resort, I could open the site up if you absolutely need to see the code, but it would have to be very quick.

  • How are you achieving the looks in the WordPress page editor? Are you using tables or a column plugin of some sort?

How about just writing the text without any of that, adding an image with a right alignment and just making a few line breaks so it takes the cursor below the first paragraph and writing the last paragraph?

The images when you align them will allow for the text to wrap.

I wrote the code in dreamweaver and copy and pasted the html in the editor.

What you mention I have never done before. Currently I have CKEditor installed as the editor.

Basically I didnt think it was that easy. I have been fighting updating using the editor for quite some time and decided just to copy and paste all html in there from now. This is the only template it hasn’t worked for me and I was baffled by it.

Thank you very much for your help. Im sure I will have issues on other pages but at least I am able to now open the site. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know because something so simple I was making complicated.

Id still like to know how this template doesn’t read the html properly.

    Thanks again

    Glad it worked out.

It’s difficult to say without looking at the code you had. Maybe it’s the editor playing tricks, never used CKEditor before, maybe it’s a code issue somewhere.
