• Hi,
Right now i have my Polylang settings to work with the first option, the language is determined by the content, but it doesn’t change languages. The plugin works fine when i use the permalinks.

I cannot use this option, because i need to maintain the same structure as the original website. For example:
    hospitaldivinaprovidencia.org/pages/es/carmelitas (for spanish)
    hospitaldivinaprovidencia.org/pages/en/carmelitas (for english)
The permalinks option doesn’t let me do this, because i have to change the “carmelitas” for each language.

I am using Customizr theme. I had the same problem with other themes as well.

    Hi!

It’s quite frequent that plugins and themes are not compatible with the option “the language is set from the content”.

However, changing to this option will not allow you to use the same slug for posts (or pages) in two different languages.

I would like to keep the same structure as the previous design, so we don’t lose visitors with page errors. Right now, the webpage is working properly with the same slugs, since they are separated by a parent page (ES and EN).

Do you know if there is a way to make the plugin work with this theme?

I understand now ‘en’ and ‘fr’ were pages in your previous version. So you could use the same slug for different languages. Polylang does not allow this yet. I know that some other programmer started to write some Polylang extension to do this. A google search may help you if you want to test this.
