Page does not update with job status after doing a “Run Now”

When I first started using Backwpup, after I did a “Run Now” to run a job manually, the page used to update and start showing job progress. Some time back (maybe a year?), it changed to just show an empty screen with this URL https://my.domain.name/wp-cron.php?_nonce=d41718054d&jobid=7&backwpup_run=runnowalt
To get it to show progress, I have to enter https://my.domain.name/wp-admin/admin.php?page=backwpupjobs
I am using Chrome on Windows 11.
It is just a nuisance that can be worked-around (as I have been doing)
