page displaying random post, not page

Oriental theme is absolutely brilliant. Except that ‘pages’ don’t work – they display a (seemingly-random) post, and not the page they should.
If I can’t find a fix for this, I will think about looking for an alternative theme… but I like it so much, I wish i could do without pages, but I can’t.
