Page content erased after replacing an image

Here’s what you could do:
1) you could try our soon-to-be-released Enable Media Replace plugin version
https://github.com/short-pixel-optimizer/enable-media-replace/tree/updates
and see if you can still replicate the issue.

2) you could contact us directly with access to an environment where we could replicate the issue. Then we’ll investigate what is going on and come up with a solution.

Thank you @sabadil – after further investigation this is the conclusion we’ve reached: Beaver Builder stores the page builder data in full in metadata, serialized. So updating the amount of characters will break the serialization.
