Page content disappears after submitting for review

Hey everyone!
I have a user role “Contributor” where each time they edit or post any pages or posts, it will be submitted to review first for the Admin to approve.
Now when this user does anything and submits it to review, the page content disappears entirely, only when it’s approved by the admin that it will show up back again, essentially it will not show the last approved version.
I’ve tried to search online to see if anyone had the same problem but no luck.

Any ideas on how i can fix this?
