• Hi,
Would someone like to share insights and discuss the use of Page Builder vs templating something right into TinyMCE?

A little background, I started using WordPress a year ago and client wanted editing capabilities right into editor. So I used TinyMCE Templates plugin to save templates and did a lot of customization in TinyMCE to get everything working for their design. Client was very happy with the result even though I wasn’t completely sure about it.

Recently, I was contacted by same company but different group of people and different approach to design than first project. I gave them estimated time and they are not in too hurry with it, so I can take my time and take same approach.

So why I am posting this question is, recently I was taking a look at Divi group and saw that many people are taking page builder approach and it is working for them. Posting such question in those groups always gets a biased response instead of some constructive feedback. I did read few articles which mostly included pros and cons.

I would like to know from someone who has taken both approaches and what your opinion is in both cases? What does a corporate company expect when it comes to such projects? What approach you preferred when you were given custom design and strict guidelines to implement it?

Of all the page builders I tested so far, only Elementor seems to be best to me. I am still leaning towards using custom templating approach but just would like to get a second opinion from someone experienced.

    Thanks.
