    Have same problem with pages I want to convert to Page Builder. It reverts to Visual or Text Editor. Won’t let we convert. Site Origin editor works on pages that were already converted. In the mix of it all, my Kadence Theme (www.kadencethemes.com) Virtue Shortcode for tables now doesn’t work since latest Page Builder update. Can’t put content in to table fields. But Virtue Shortcode columns are working as a work around for now in Visual editor.

    Everything worked well since I started using Site Origin a long time ago, until yesterday. All themes and plugins have latest versions. Sent same message to Kadence Themes as well.
    Some forums say it may be a Jetpack-Site Origin conflict. Sent same message to Jetpack. I did deactivate Jetpack on one of the sites. Page Builder still didn’t work.

    FYI. Same issue with other sites as well that use Site Origin-Page Builder.

And the same problem Page Builder not working and reverting back to Visual Editor happened. And Kadence Themes Virtue Shortcode-Table isn’t functioning right also after Site Origin and Kadence Theme updates. Just guessing there may be connection between the two since the problems happened at the same time after updates; but not certain.)

    Hi Sharon,

    Can you please show me a screenshot of your backend (before and after the convert) so I can get a better idea of what you’re seeing?

    This forum doesn’t support attachments so you’ll need to upload the screenshots to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me and send me a link to them.

    Also, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

    If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    I cleared all cache with every browser and with host providers. Had my theme tech check it out also. He said the problem is with the Edge browser and recommends never using any Microsoft browser for anything important, particularly working on websites. Kadence Themes said Microsoft latest updates always create bugs and are very slow to fix. Use any other browser, i.e. Chrome, Firefox. So, I did, and everything worked!

    Just the morning of the problems surfacing prior to working on sites, Microsoft had a major Windows update. Amazing that Microsoft just doesn’t seem to make things run smoothly.

    I’m sorry to hear that! ??

    Ideally, I would recommend only using Edge or IE to check the front end of your sites rather than using them to set up pages as there’s less room for general error.
