Hi, I’m completely new to SEO and I’m trying to make my website more visible. My question is whether I need to optimize all pages on my website. The red dot pages are mainly pages like Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy which I don’t necessarily want to do anything with.

If I leave them as they are (red) is that going to hurt my overall visibility in any way?

    Thanks

    Harry

    Hello Harry,

    Thanks for reaching out.

We know it is tempting to want to get all green lights on the SEO analysis for your pages. However, these are general guidelines, not strict rules that will hurt your ranking. We don’t get all green bullets either for Yoast.com :). Also, you can read the experience of Marieke in this post about the temptation of the green bullet.

If you feel your page is properly formatted and has a good user experience, then these warnings can be safely ignored and you should not sacrifice user experience to get the green bullet. You can read more about this on this article on our website: https://yoast.com/want-green-bullet-wp-seo/. And in your case, you can ignore the feedback for your Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy pages; it’s understandable.
