    Hi,

I’m trying to edit the CSS so that pages and posts share the same formatting, custom header etc.

I can’t work out which files I should be looking at. Can you point me in the right direction?

For example, I can’t work out where in the PHP the header changes for single posts and pages, but clearly it does.

    Thanks!

  • If you are looking at CSS, it’s not in the PHP code. The best way to work with CSS is using a tool such as Firebug. Most themes use the same header for all pages — unless you’ve specified otherwise, but without seeing the site, it’s impossible to help very specifically with something like this.

Thanks for your reply. The problem is that Book Lite supports custom headers but only displays the custom header for pages, not for full-page single posts. I can’t work out where in the theme files this behavior is specified, or where in the CSS some other minor differences stem from.

For example, in the demo, the main page has a custom header but this single post does not. Also note that the <h1> within the header of the main page has a max-width of 750px, and the header of the single post does not.

I can’t find where in the theme files these differences stem from. I want edit the php to make every page and post share a single header which I can then style in CSS.

Ah, okay then that’s certainly an exception to the usual. Their site has forums — have you asked there?

Thanks! I didn’t think to look for the theme’s forum on that site. In fact, my exact question has already been answered. Thanks for your help!

    hi all,
i have created my menu and am uploading content to my pages, no problem there. my question is: is there a way to configure book lite so that when you click a menu button it goes to a unique page? right now it just puts the content in under my homepage header like a blog roll or something. the site is at https://ecguitars.com/ if you click ‘about the author’ you’ll see what i mean. thanks!
