Page and Post Issues….

I am having an issue getting certain posts to be stored under certain pages. I have searched all over the net for the past few days to see if anyone has a tutorial out there, but I keep pulling up guides that are on the right track of what I need done, but none of them ever work out the way I need.

This project I am working on is a mini ESPN style site for local High School sports. So I have a Page Called “Schools” as the parent and child categories labeled with the school name and within that I even have another Child category labeled “Football“, “Basketball” and “Baseball“.

Now what I am trying to accomplish when a report writes an article about the Shelby Tigers Football team it will show up on the main page obviously, but also when someone is browsing our site and go to the Shelby Tigers page it will also show that new article on their page as well, and not just the main page.

So I guess what I am asking is When a new post is made can I point it at one of the Child categories as well as it showing up on the main page? I have been reading up on Excerpts and Tags, but I can’t seem to get the post to go in the correct area.
