The SEO page analysis is gone from my WP and has been for few weeks now. Has it been removed from the free version and pushed to the PAID version?

This was the main reason why I downloaded your plugin in the first place and was using it for years, as it is to me the most useful function.

Unless there is something wrong with my plugin (bug?), it looks like greed has taken the better of you – the more you have the more you want – as you have been consistently cutting back to the bone the functions of your free plugin. What happened with the generosity of sharing to help others? You can still keep your bells and whistles for the premium version.

Or – just leave the free one altogether and sell only premium.

Without the functionlities cut back to the bone your plugiun is of little value or use to me now, and frankly, I don’t intend to pay an annual licence fee for every plugin I have – I would go broke!

So unless that’s an error – I will remove your plugin and get something else that will be more useful to me.

    PLease advise.

I have checked the description of your free plugin in my WP plugin list. It says:

“The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress, including on-page content analysis, XML sitemaps and much more.”

So if on-page content analysis is still in the free version – why is it not active on my website? The traffic light icon is blank and empty with no traffic lights on it.

Can you advise please what went wrong and how to fix it.

    thanks

@magicpowers No, the SEO page analysis feature has not been removed from the free version of Yoast SEO, so the issue you are experiencing is likely either being caused by the plugin settings or a conflict or bug. Can you please first confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v9.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

If the SEO analysis is missing due to plugin settings, we would first recommend checking the following settings to confirm that they are set correctly:

Can you confirm you have the right user permissions? You can check by going to Users->Your Profile->Yoast SEO settings (may need to scroll down) and confirm that both “Disable SEO analysis” and “Disable readability analysis” are unclicked?
Can you confirm that the SEO, Readability, and Insights are all enabled by going to SEO->General->Features and checking that SEO Analysis, Readability Analysis, and Insights are all set to ‘On’?
Can you confirm that the SEO and Readability are enabled on the posts? You can check by going to SEO->Search Appearance->Content Types and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “Show” for the respective content type (pages, posts, etc)?

    ?
These articles should also help serve as a guide for some of the settings: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-enable-disable-the-keyword-analysis/ and https://kb.yoast.com/kb/enable-disable-content-readability-analysis/

If the issue is still occurring after checking these settings, we would next recommend performing a conflict check as you can sometimes experience functionality problems or unexpected behavior from the plugin due to plugin or theme conflicts. Can you confirm you have performed a complete plugin/theme conflict check by disabling other plugins, and resetting the theme to a default such as twentyseventeen? We have additional information on how to check for a conflict here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

    hi

    thanks for your reply.

    – yes, I have v.9.1

well, thank you for the tip – the first one was NO, the other two – yes.

How come those options got into my User profile?….. I didn’t have them before. Is this a new feature which has ticks as a default? if so, how would I know that I need to untick those options?

either way, it is all visible and working fine.

    thanks! ??

@magicpowers Thanks for confirming that the analysis is working as expected now.
In regards to your question, disabling/enabling this feature on a per user basis isn’t a new feature, so we aren’t sure exactly how this was disabled as it should be enabled by default for a user.
