    Hello

I am using Learndash with group leaders. On Learndash, students submit assignments that I’d like group leaders to comment on. However, as soon as they click on comment, they get redirected to the homepage. I disabled members and the issue was resolved.

My question: Is there a solution where a specific role type (Group Leaders in this case) can be given access to comment on those pages. Possibly have access to the “assignments” slug?

ANy workarounds are welcome. I tried granting access and that didnt work.

    Thanks
    Devon

    Hi Devon,

I’m not sure why the issue happens when you enable Members, but I would check capabilities related to comment block. Maybe you have some capability that blocks subscribers from accessing the comments section.

You could also check PHP error logs to see if there are any errors related to that comments.

Please note also that our plugin doesn’t have a section for each plugin. Plugin authors can add admin areas using any capability they want, including custom capabilities. If you know which capabilities are required to access that specific Leardash area, you can assign those capabilities to a user/role.

Also, many plugins create admin settings pages using a native capability associated with administrators, such as manage_options so in that case, you need to contact plugin author.

    Best
