Padding the Post Numbers in Permalinks

    In an effort to match the permalinks in my old MT installation, I am using the “Customize Permalink Structure” feature to write my URLs as archives/271.php.

    However, I also need to pad the numbers with zeros so that the post number is six digits long, e.g., archives/000271.php.

    How do I do this?
