    Hi there,

Love the theme, but I’m struggling with one thing:

I’m on the main settings and have adjusted the padding how I like (in REM) on desktop. However, when I view in mobile/tablet it’s just a vertical string of illegible text.

Is there a way to only implement the padding when a user visits via desktop?

    Many thanks

  • Hi there, are you able to share a link to your site so we can take a closer look? We would not have a way to look into this otherwise. Thanks!

    Hi,

Apologies for the late reply. Please could I rephrase my question (the site is not live yet)?

Is it possible to add 10% padding to the left and right of the homepage on desktop only (keep padding the same for mobile/tablet).

    Many thanks

    Hey there,

To check, have you added this padding via the Site Editor > Styles > Layout ?

If yes, it’s not possible to differentiate between devices.

It’s possible to add this via CSS, but we would need to see the site in order to work that out accurately. I hope this is useful knowledge so far.

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, you are correct. I have been playing with the site editor > Styles > Layout.

It’s a shame it’s not possible to distinguish between devices for padding. I will keep my site as full width for now and if it’s okay with you I will post again here once the site is live?

Just out of curiosity, I have been researching this –?is the correct solution to implement a CSS breakpoint using media query?

    Very best regards.

Sure, we’ll be here if you need at that point ??

At the moment, that’d be the best way to do it, yes! Hopefully in the future the Site Editor will be able to support breakpoints without needing to use media queries.

Hi, I have figured out another way to do this that doesn’t involve any additional CSS!

I was able to place all the blocks within the page inside a Group block and set max-width of the group block to 1440px. All the blocks inherit this max-width, meaning I have nice padding on desktop, but mobile and tablet are to the edge of the page. Woo-hoo! I am so happy.

    Thanks for your help!

Good point, I can’t believe I forgot I did something similar recently too! Nicely done ??
