• Hello, I have a couple of images I’m adding in the text of a page, I’ve aligned one left and one right. However, I can’t add padding so that they are in-line with the text? Instead they are both sitting at the edge of the screen. My site is not live yet but I took a screenshot (I can’t seem to upload).

    On this subject, is there a way to make the default setting on the site so that all text is padded left and right up to 7? I have to do it individually with each paragraph and heading block at the moment and of course I’m sure there’s a better way! Thank you in advance

  • Hi,

    You can upload the screenshot to a website like imgur and post the link here.
    You can specify padding via CSS. For example, you can add following CSS in the Additional CSS option in the Appearance > Customization section in the left sidebar in the admin area, say you want to add padding in the paragraph in the div with the class entry-content.
    div.entry-content p{padding:0 7px}

    Thank you @heateor for your reply! Here is a link to the screenshot – hope this helps understand the problem? https://imgur.com/a/tuLAgsl

    Thank you for the CSS instruction also, I’m very new to this (I built a site with a Wix template years ago but this is very different), so I’m not sure what div. entry content is but I have pasted your command in the CSS under Appearance – customize

    That was just an example. You can remove that CSS. If you can’t make your site online shoot an email to support[at]heateor[dot]com so that I could assist you further.

    Thank you so much @heateor for your reply! I really appreciate it. I am almost there with it, thank you, just a few things need tweaking that I am struggling with. I don’t have the funds to seek paid supprot of an expert sadly but I’ve always found this forum very helpful, hopefully someone will be able to tell me how to align the image ??

    It was not a paid support. I cannot ask you some details here according to the terms of this support forum. Anyways, this article would help you align the image.

    Hello, I read the article and followed the steps but the issue with aligning the image with the text as shown in my screenshot above does not change. Even if i use the media and text block, the image or text is still not aligned and not able to be padded to 7. Any other ideas? I so appreciate your help! TIA

    I have not received any email from you referencing this thread. Can’t support you more here as I need more details that I can’t ask here.
