• Hi,

When scanning my website, all plugins are detected but the only result showing is P3 itself.

I checked : Is my site using an opcode optimizer?
The answer is the following: Your site is using the IonCube loader. This has not been known to cause problems with P3.

    Any idea what’s wrong?

    Thanks,
    regards
    Sandra

Does disabling IonCube alter the way it functions at all?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your answer.
The thing is I have no idea how to disable it!

Same for me – it doesn’t measure anything except self.

Is my site using an opcode optimizer?

Your site is using XCache. Although XCache reports that no opcode optimization won’t be implemented until version 2.0, this has been known to cause problems with P3.
Your site is using the IonCube loader. This has not been known to cause problems with P3.

1.5.3.9 is doing this to me on WP 4.2.

Used to work fine, now all it sees in the scan is itself.

I am having the same problem. It just scans itself.
    I am using WP v 4.2.1

I had the same problem but restarted everything related to WordPress:

    – HTTP server (nginx in my case)
    – PHP (php5-fpm including Zend Opcache, because it’s PHP 5.5)
    – memcached

If you don’t know how to do it, you might be able to restart the whole server. If you are on shared hosting this is not an option.

Sometimes I have this scanning problem if I change plugins. But then only the changed plugin won’t be measured.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for the replying. I have shared hosting, WP Engine. I will call them and see if there is anything they can do.
I don’t understand why everything has to be reset. Does this mean there is something wrong with my server?

I also found another plugin. It costs $5.00 But it does a lot more.

    Regards,
    Joanna

    Xenique,

there’s nothing wrong with your server. It just seems P3 only picks up plugins when the web server was restarted. This applies to two of my servers if I add a new plugin. P3 won’t show it without restarting.

That might be an issue because of caching or other optimizations but then again a WordPress installation without these isn’t exactly fast and not recommended in general.

Restarting the web server (Apache or nginx, depending on your setup) doesn’t do any harm and is fast (1-2 seconds), but it has to be done in a special admin area which doesn’t belong to WordPress.

I restarted apache and it still only profiles itself

Same problem here. Is there another way than restarting the server? Does the author know about that and could be solved in the next update?

    same here.
restarting web server (lighttpd) was of help.

Same here. I don’t even have any caching plugin (yet).

    Same with me.
Test installation on my own LAMP works fine and give very useful results.
But scann productive (shared hosting) website only scans itself, though it says that it discovers 39 other plugins.

    Me again.
I changed the used PHP version on shared hosting from 5.3.29 to 5.4.44
    That made it work.
But I have no clue if this is the result of changing the PHP version or or the restarted apache server

Same thing is happening to me. The site’s hosted at websynthesis.com and I’m using W3 Total Cache plugin, don’t know if it may be related.

    Any guess guys?
