P2 Like WordPress Themes that support Quick Easy Publishing

  • Are there any other Free or Premium WordPress themes that have features like P2 theme. Where registered users can post content directly from the site by logging in and without visiting admin area?

  • You can always look into BuddyPress which has that functionality. Be warned though that BuddyPress is a rather complex beast with its own quirks. It supports posting from the front page, friend connections, groups and many other things without the need for users to go to the backend.

    @jay thanks and yes, you are right, buddypress has all the functionality of P2 and more. You are also right that it is a complex beast thats why I didn’t want to play with it, but it seems like I must tame the beast now.

    PulsePress is based off of P2, as are some others outside the Wp theme gallery that I can’t remember. “K2” is out of date. GTD is probably out of date but might not be. At least one of the premium theme companies has one – if you Google p2 wordpress theme collaboration you’ll probably find an article or two that mentions it.
