p tags

I expected the plugin to automatically wrap <p> tags around each paragraph I wrote, but that’s not happening, it’s bunching it all into one big chunk in the output.

I’m using this output the author description:

<?php echo $curauth->description; ?>

Am I doing something wrong? If I manually enter the html in the text tab, it’s fine. I just can’t expect a lay person to do this when entering in their bio.
