    Hi there,

    since the version 3.0.9 and change of the javascript engine of the Basic Slideshow Gallery it let you select a view which is set to Legacy by default.
    I would like to modify the existing template in order to remove the hyperlink to the lightbox since the galleries are already displayed in a modal window. Simply duplicating the index.php file and rename in \plugins\nextgen-gallery\products\photocrati_nextgen\modules\nextgen_basic_gallery\templates\slideshow did not work. How do I create and register a custom template for the Basic Slideshow Gallery, please?

    Hi @webhamster23,

    You can suppress the links from Basic Slideshow galleries by adding this CSS rule to “NextGen Gallery -> Other Options -> Style”

    .ngg-slideshow .ngg-gallery-slideshow-image a {
        pointer-events: none !important;
    }

    Hi,

    many thanks for your replay. That was my second thought to solve it by CSS but it’s not always the best solution to set things on ‘none’ e.g. ‘display:none’ .
    But as far I can see it would have inbuilt template functionality so why not use it?
