Owl Carousel not working with custom theme

  • Hi there,

    I hope you can help, I have recently added a wordpress ‘news’ page to an existing website which I had to customise to fit the existing style.
    I really want to use the Owl Carousel within this page but as it is a custom theme it doesn’t appear to work, I am new to wordpress and I cannot fully understand the related codex page on www.remarpro.com
    I downloaded the Owl Carousel from wordpress and uploaded the files into the wp-content/plugins/directory and activated it via the wordpress plugin menu, everything appears to work as the video tutorial except the carousel does not display.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Has anyone else had problems with the Owl Carousel and custom wordpress themes?
    I do not understand the do_shortcode section of the codex, can anyone please enlighten me?

    Hi oritzio,

    Thanks for getting back to me, I am using the following shortcode which is created when clicking the owl icon in the posts section of wordpress:

    [owl-carousel category=”Ag-con Brochure” singleItem=”true” autoPlay=”true”]

    the only change being “Uncategorized” to “Ag-con Brochure”
