Overwriting existing subdirectories

    Hello,
    I want to copy a site from one domain to another, both on Hostgator.

    The target domain has a sub-directory for Yabb forum files. The source domain does not have that sub-directory. Will it be overwritten when I run installer?

    The sub-directory contains massive amounts of data and also has various cmod settings so I don’t want to have to try and back it up then reload it after the install.

  • If you choose ‘Manual Extraction’ on step 1 of the installer then you can manually extract the zip, however with most Zip programs it will overwrite your directory ‘Yabb’ if that directory is in the zip file… That would be the safe preferred way to go, this way your in complete control of unzipping the package.
