• HI, what I’m trying to do is find a plugin, snippet, function codes or update the php version of an overwrite media plugin here on www.remarpro.com that will allow me to overwrite media file when uploading a new file with the same name. Example: If I have a file called thisweeks.mp3 and each week I wanted to upload a new theweeks.mp3 without using a media replacement plugin.

If anyone know of a tutorial or anything that could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful. Thank you, Kimberly

@joyously My client does not want a replace media plugin. They want a forced overwrite.

    That is the same thing.
I don’t get your question, because at the start you say you want a plugin and then you say you don’t want a plugin.
So that’s the plugin, and you can modify it if you want to.

@joyously Yes it’s the same thing but “not what my client wants”. They have been using a forced overwrite media file plugin for years but the plugin will not work when it’s updated to php 7. So I need to find a replace plugin or snippet that cause forced media file replace for while files with the same name. I have to try and find a way to do what they want.

It seems like it would be an easy thing to look at the code of both plugins and either fix the PHP of the old one or remove the interface for the newer one.

@joyously I have no idea how to do that. I’ve been searching for a tutorial or something to help me figure out how.

added @joyously: Your saying compare the replace file with the overwrite plugin to find the differences? That’s a great idea.
