Overweight parcel settings not working

    We are having issues with the shipping methods we have set up. When an order goes over the standard weight it seems it doesn’t recognise the settings that say over 5000gm then add another $x ie doesnt trigger the next weight band that is set to increase the shipping cost?

    It then throws up a shipping not available type error for the client.
    Weights seem to be set up in the same unit measures ie all in grams.

    It sounds like a configuration issue. Could you gather more details so we can check what’s going on?

    1. WordPress: 5.8.1, WooCommerce: 5.8.0, Weight Based Shipping: 5.3.15, PHP: 7.4.23.

    2. Error that came up is:
    No shipping method has been selected. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.
    And in the shipping address field, it says:
    No shipping options found

    3. I’m testing it with the order:
    Atkins bread mix: 10 of 450g shipping weight
    Low carb zone raspberry snacking cereal: 1 of 600g shipping weight
    Silicone loaf mould: 1 of 120g shipping weight
    Total order weight: 5220g
    Order subtotal: $76.69
    Shipping destination: NZ Katikati 3129

    4. I expect to see
    – Shipping adjusted to next weight band of additional 5kg over first 5kg, price $11 + $11, total $22

    5. I do see instead:
    No shipping options were found

    The client rang up and we had to sort an order manually once we worked out that it seemed to be the weight wasn’t recognising the weight rate in the bottom section of the weight based shipping options area of that shipping region.
    We then ran some tests under our own account and changed the post/zip code to various regions around the country and found that none of them added the next band when the base cost weight was exceeded. All though had been set up the same way as instructed in the guides.

    The North Ireland rule’s Order Weight is ‘above 0, below 5000’, which means the rule won’t be activated for orders above 5000 grams.

    Likely you want to raise the limit or remove it at all.
