Overriding Select Menu and Using standard Hamburger Menu

I’m using the Cherry Framework and a child theme. When the site switches to mobile, the top nav menu changes to a Select Menu using jquery.mobilemenu.js. I don’t like how that looks or works. I would like to over-ride this somehow and NOT use a Select menu, but just standard hamburger menu or other type of menu. Can someone point me in the “right” direction in how to do that? I don’t want to approach it the wrong way.
