override the template file

Hi, I have made some code editing in the template file, and I need to override the default file, Is that possible?
I tried to creat the following paths in my child theme:
child theme/simple-author-box/template/template-sab.php .
and:
child theme/simple-author-box/template-sab.php .
but neither of them worked.
Can I have some help here?
