Great plugin — it has the exact functionality I’m looking for. However, is there a way to override the layout/HTML in a child theme? I ask because the customizations I want to make require more than just a stylesheet.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @bmorecreativeinc,

Thanks for your kind Words! At this point there is no support for existing the lay-out with a child theme. I am not even Sure how to do that.

The admin panel has a few lotions to configure the lay-out and what to show, and if you check the FAQ of the plug-in, you can see all available CSS properties.

Can you tell me what kind of exits that you want to make? Maybe I can point you in a direction on how to achieve it.

    Kind regards,

Hi Jeroen. Thank you for the fast response. You can check out:

You’ll see I made several changes to the output of the plugin. I did this by modifying the shortcode.php file directly, but that will get overwritten every time I update your plugin. Typically, plugin overrides are possible by allowing developers to hook into actions or filters.

Thank you again for the excellent plugin. I am curious, do you offer custom functionality to your plugin at an hourly rate?

    Hey @bmorecreativeinc,

yes, I see that you have modified some output. I did not implement hook that other developers can use, I didn’t realize that people would actually ask for it haha. So in that way I want to thank you for the compliment.
The changes you have done for now could be done with CSS too I think, but then you wouldn’t have <dt> elements.

The support on the plugin and also feature requests are free of charge as long as they add to the plugin. I also don’t mind writing a little CSS for people, but I didn’t add ‘paid’ functionality into the plugin until now.

What I did do was create a custom version for someone else. That would mean that I fork the plugin and create a custom (separate) one especially for you. That plugin would not be in the official plugin repository. In that way, I do offer servkces for an hourly rate.

I’m not sure if it’s about the hooks or something else, but if you think your idea is a great addition for the plugin itself, I will review it and decide whether I’ll embed it in the plugin (for free) or offer to create a version the plugin especially for you.
You can also email me at [email protected] if you’d like.

    Kind regards,

    Jeroen Peters
