Overlay menu + header edits

    Thanks Anders for your themes!
    Each of your themes has something “special” and I’m working towards making my own perfect theme.

    1. Is there a specific way of applying some features like the overlay menu from Chaplin to eksell? A Cover page?)

    2. Site title to the aside on mobile? The close is filled for the whole header i would like to apply the logo to the left of the close and enable the search button same as chaplin.(the functionality)

    I assume opening chaplin theme and find the codes and build it in chaplin

    Thanks, I’m glad you like them!

    1. It’s possible, but very difficult – you’d need to move over both PHP files, CSS code and JavaScript code from Chaplin to Eksell, and you might get some conflicts between the styles and scripts in the two themes. I’d recommend against it, honestly. The cover template in Chaplin can mostly be recreated in Eksell by using the Blank Canvas template together with a cover block set to a height of 100vh.

    2. Adding the logo to the modal is possible by hooking a function to eksell_menu_modal_top_start in a child theme, outputting the logo there, and then positioning it absolutely to the left of the navigation modal. Tricky, but doable. Adding a separate button for search in the modal is also possible, but a lot more difficult – you would need to duplicate the desktop search modal button and update the style of the desktop search modal to be displayed on top of the navigation modal.

    Thank you Anders.

    You’re right it can be built with the blank template however because I wanted it (cover) to be used as a background with the header title and svg icons – search etc) on top it wouldn’t work and behave similar to chaplins home page header.
